This might not be as radical of a transformation as the others, but I removed some wallpaper and repainted. The room has a lighter feel now.

And this is what I went through to transform my bedroom. I don't think I ever got the full before with the carpet still in, but the carpet piles should give you an idea. :)

More recently I tried putting the bed at an angle:

I finally figured out how to get some pictures off of my phone, so now I have some before and after pics. This is my living room.

Here are a couple of "before" pictures of the project I am currently working on. The only thing that is new is the white shelving. I'll keep you posted as I hopefully transform this into a prettier laundry area.

In my office, I removed the carpet, painted the walls, and made some curtains. It now looks like a completely different room. I was really lucky to find some beautiful oak floors underneath that carpet.

After seeing this done in some home magazine, I played around with some stretched canvas and fancy paper. This is definitely one of those decorating "on the cheap" ideas. You can see the results in my bathroom.
